A step by step guide on how to wrap wontons in just minutes. This is the method my mother taught me that my mother’s mother taught her, and well, you get it. It’s so simple that you can pass it down generation to generation.
Step 1. Place and rotate one wrapper in the palm of your hands so that the square is in the shape of a diamond.

Step 2. Wet the other index finger finger with water and gently wet the top outline of the wrapper. This helps the wonton skin to stick to each other when you fold.

Step 3. Scoop in about 1 tsp of filling into the center of the wrapper.

Step 4. Fold the bottom wrapper over the top to form a triangle. Gently but firmly push all the air out of the pocket of the wonton and seal the filling shut by pressing the two ends together.

Step 5. Wet your index finger with water and gently wet one of the bottom ends of the triangle.

Step 6. Fold the two bottom corners together like a hug and gently press the ends together to seal the hug. Now you have a wonton!
